Henderson Jr. Silver Knights 10-u Update

Update: We don’t want to overlook the Henderson Jr Silver Knights, I am following the 10UA team on instagram and wanted to give a shout out to them. There was a Labor Day tournament in Anaheim, Ca where they took gold! Defeating VJGK 10U A 4-1 in the final. Now that is impressive.

(Talk about the process of tryouts for VJGK/HJSK).

HJSK10UA Just came back from a Washington DC tournament Congressional Cup Fall Classic. HJSK playing against some good teams

  • Game 1 HJSK Vs. Carolina Jr Canes 8-2 (Victory)
  • Game 2 HJSK Vs. Triad Storm 7-2 (Victory)
  • Game 3 HJSK Vs. Richmond Generals Selects 6-1 (Victory) So I am told that the team was told to use the 5 pass rule even before the game started. (this brings up a great question, When do you implement the 5 pass rule, and do you ever implement it in a tournament?) Does that help or hurt your team?
  • Game 4 HJSK Vs. Stamford Sharks 6-1 (Victory) Only undefeated team going into the finals
  • Game 5 HJSK Vs. ‘13 Carolina Jr Canes. 3-5 (Loss) Monday Game at 7am

They have played 14 games so far this year and are doing well!

Do you think the 3 hour change finally caught up to the kids in Washington DC. You know most west coast NFL teams usually don’t do well going from west cost to east coast. It’s hard to believe that after 4 games of crushing it, more likely they thought they could beat the team because they have beaten them on day one.
